TROY, Mich., — Walsh hosted 288 Macomb and Oakland County high school students participating in the Business Professionals of America Regional Leadership Conference at its Troy location on Jan. 10, 2020.
Students from 12 schools competed in individual and team events in accounting, financial management, information technology, interviewing skills, marketing, small business management and more. Qualifying students have the opportunity to compete at the state level March 19-22 in Grand Rapids. The conference also included presentations on current business topics such as cybersecurity, finance and networking and tours of Walsh’s award-winning Troy location.
“Walsh was proud to welcome these future business leaders and see such an enthusiastic and diverse group of students showcase their knowledge, skills and talent,” said Patti Swanson, Chief Marketing and Enrollment Officer at Walsh.

Business Professionals of America is a career and technical student organization for high school and college business education students, with 54,000 members nationally. Michigan is one of 23 state associations and has a membership of 5,000 students.
