TROY, Mich., Sept. 2, 2021 — Walsh College has announced the promotion of Tom Petz to vice president and chief information officer (CIO) and Jenny Tatsak, Ph.D., to associate provost, associate vice president. Petz previously served as interim CIO and led the development and launch of Walsh’s innovative connected classrooms, which use technology to allow faculty, in person and remote students to interact in small, shared class settings. He will continue to develop technology solutions across the institution. Tatsak will oversee the Center for Teaching and Learning and student support services in addition to continuing to oversee Walsh’s Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Business Administration programs.
“The promotion of these and other key faculty and staff members positions Walsh for continued growth and innovation. As we near the one hundredth anniversary of our founding, we have an outstanding team in place to support our students and strategic partners as we continue to change lives through education,” said Michael Levens, Ph.D., president and CEO.
Faculty promotions include Louise August, Ph.D., to director, Center for Teaching and Learning, John Black, DBA to professor, Javad Katibai to associate professor and Dave Schippers, Sc.D. to associate professor. Additional leadership promotions include Stephanie Wheeler to chief of staff and director, strategic initiatives, Stephanie Bremenour to director, academic advising, Angela Conard to director, admissions and enrollment services and Jennifer Cosper to assistant director, academic operations.
