    11th Annual Care Package Drive kicks off on September 9, 2018 in remembrance of the 17th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and Patriot Day

    TROY, Mich. – White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy is hosting its 11th Annual Care Package Drive to provide “a little bit of home and comfort” to overseas military troops. The care package drive kicks off on Sunday, September 9, 2018 during White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery’s Third Annual Patriots Race to benefit the Michigan Wounded & Returning Warriors Program.     Michigan Youth Empowerment Foundation (mYe), a Troy-based non-profit organization, believes that every young person has the potential to become a good communicator and leader, but this potential needs to be developed.
    With this in mind, the club has partnered with the Walsh College Troy Toastmasters Club to present Toastmasters International’s Youth Leadership Program (YLP). “The program’s unique eight-session, workshop-style design enables middle and high-school students to develop critical skills through practical experience,” says Linda Anger, a Distinguished Toastmaster and Coordinator of the program.
