  6. Beaumont Health will waive emergency room and urgent care center copays and deductibles for federal government workers and their insured family members until this partial government shutdown ends.

    Our Mission to provide compassionate, extraordinary care every day leads us to take steps to help our patients and families during times of need and unique circumstances over which they have no control.

    Today, we are particularly sensitive to the needs of the more than 5,000 Michigan-based federal workers currently on furlough or working without pay during the partial government shutdown. While they remain insured and are likely to receive back pay once the shutdown ends, resolution of the shutdown remains uncertain, and out-of-pocket health care costs add to the financial burdens they and their families now face.
