    Teams of forward-thinking innovators will come together from Sept. 22-23 at Oakland University for GrizzHacks 3, a 24-hour hackathon that provides an opportunity for students to create incredible hardware and software projects from the bottom up.

  5. JVS Announces Training Class for Career Services Providers

    JVS will offer a 10-week training program beginning September 13 in Southfield for individuals working in career development. The Facilitating Career Development Course is based upon 12 professional competency areas outlined by the National Career Development Association (NCDA).

  7. Oakland University and University of Detroit Mercy partner for ‘3+3’ degree program

    A new agreement between Oakland University and University of Detroit Mercy School of Law will allow students to earn both a bachelor’s degree and a law degree in just six years.

    “This agreement gives our students who intend to attend law school another option to complete their degrees in a seamless way,” said Kevin J. Corcoran, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Oakland University.

    Traditionally, earning a bachelor’s degree followed by a law degree would take seven years. Under the terms of the “3+3” agreement, OU students can shave a year off the traditional timeline and save thousands of dollars in tuition costs. Read the rest of this entry »

    This summer, Oakland University’s Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) is partnering with World Instructor Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) to offer a Personal Trainer Certificate Program.
