The Motion Picture Institute’s first annual Oscar Party aims to bring moviegoers, filmmakers and critics together to honor the top films of 2019 inside a real movie studio.

(Troy, Michigan) – As our nation looks ahead to the 92nd Academy Awards, MPI will join moviegoers, filmmakers and critics across the state of Michigan to honor the best talent and work made within the film industry in 2019.

The Oscar Party will take place on February 9 at the Motion Picture Institute (MPI) Studios located at 2040 Crooks Rd. Suite B, Troy, MI 48084. Guests will dazzle in their Hollywood attire, and be camera ready. The Oscars program will stream live and an assortment of food will be served throughout the night. Special guest filmmakers, such as award-winning Director Robert Butler (Love Immortal), will host commercial breaks. Themed games will be played and winners will walk away with a variety of prizes. Early bird tickets are $10 per guest. Online registration closes on February 6 and remaining tickets will be available at the door on February 9 for $15 each.
