Troy Chamber of Commerce announces live music selection for upcoming July event, Grillin’ With The Prez!

With upcoming July event, Grillin’ With The Prez right around the corner, the excitement for one of the most looked forward to events of the year builds. One reason for the building excitement is the conformation that the live music at the event will be preformed by the Detroit-based group The Next Generation Funk Brothers.

Considered one of the most successful groups of studio musicians in music history. The group’s funky, soul filled R&B music will provide the perfect setting for the July event.  Originally named The Funk Brothers, they are a group of Detroit-based session musicians who performed the backing to most Motown recordings from 1959 until the company moved to Los Angeles in 1972. They have many note worthy achievements and have been a primary influencer within the music community.
