TROY, MICHIGAN –Floyd’s 99 Barbershop (Floyd’s 99), known for its authentic experience that offers affordable style with personalized, expert haircuts, beard trims and more services for both men and women, is opening its first location in Troy on February 14, 2020 at 283 E. Big Beaver Road. To celebrate the grand opening, Floyd’s 99 will be offering a free Floyd’s Grooming product with any service and/or an Amp Pack of 3 haircuts at 25% off.

As part of the grand opening celebration, Floyd’s 99 Barbershop is hosting a friends and family (invite-only) soft opening on February 13 benefitting Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), a non-profit organization that leads the global type 1 diabetes research effort to keep people healthy and safe until a cure for the disease is found. Floyd’s 99 has been avid supporters of JDRF since 2012, having raised more than $1 million to support the organization, and this soft opening will be providing $10 haircuts to family and friends with 100% of the profits being donated to JDRF.

“Giving back is extremely important to all of us at Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, and we’re glad we can support JDRF with our newest location in Troy,” said Jamie Repenning, President of Floyd’s 99 Barbershop. “As we open to the Troy community, we’re proud to work with incredibly talented stylists and strive to create an environment where every person who walks through our doors feels both comfortable being themselves and confident they’ll get a stellar haircut from a highly-trained Floyd’s 99 team member.”

The new Floyd’s 99 Barbershop location brings a down-to-earth, client-first approach to the hair grooming industry, where anybody, anytime can feel confident they’ll get great service and an even better haircut in an environment where they actually want to be – a be-yourself vibe with good music and great people.

Floyd’s 99 offers high-end service and style at an affordable price. Every appointment begins with a personal consultation to get to the root of the client’s individual style and needs, and is followed by a signature massage shampoo, hot lather neck shave, and expertly crafted cut, all finished with a relaxing shoulder massage. While the most popular service is the Floyd’s cut, which hits at the old-school classic of an expertly crafted cut, with a detailed tapered perimeter and finished with a hot lather neck shave, Floyd’s 99 offers so much more than a cut and shave.

Men’s color services are part of the lineup of services, including single processes, all-over color treatment, semi-permanent, 15-minute gray blending services, and of course, a signature massage. And the name may say Barbershop, but services don’t stop at men. Women’s services include full-service cuts, color services, deep conditioning treatments, facial waxing, and styling.

“Whether new to Floyd’s 99 Barbershop or a longtime client, you can have confidence knowing you’re in expert hands with stylists who all go through a rigorous training program, unique-to-Floyd’s 99 experience we call “Take It to Eleven.” Not to mention, the place itself is somewhere you want to hang out and that is really unique within the industry,” added Patrick Butler, Technical Director of Floyd’s 99 Barbershop.

Floyd’s 99 brings a mashup of the time-tested, friendly neighborhood barbershop hospitality with the alternative vibe people feel when listening to their favorite band. Traditional barber chairs and steel countertops meet poster-plastered walls of music favorites that span generations and category, embracing the individuality of the experience as much as each client that comes through the doors.

Clients can choose from a variety of booking options which include online booking, call-ahead appointments, or walk-in services to accommodate every type of schedule. To make it even easier, clients can also check out individual stylist and barber schedules on the Floyd’s 99 website. If the line-up of its in-shop experience wasn’t enough, the brand offers its own line of Floyd’s 99 exclusive products to keep the finished look at home.

The new shop will be open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To learn more about Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, its services or products, visit www.floydsbarbershop.com.
