8:00-8:10       Warm-up: Member Introductions

8:10-9:15       Presentation: Branden Recker, Manager of Corporate Philanthropy for Habitat for Humanity

Branden is in his second year with Habitat for Humanity, where he works with all of the Corporate Sponsors and Volunteers.

Prior to Habitat, Branden spent 11 year with another Oakland County no-profit organization. Yes – Branden is a glutton for pain.

Outside of work Branden spends his free time with his wife and 2 young kids. On the weekends you can find him at the splash-pad.

Today’s Topic: An Introduction to Design Thinking

An immersive activity meant to give participants a full cycle through the design thinking process. Participants will learn about the fundamental values of d.school-human-centered design, bias toward action, and a culture of iteration and rapid prototyping. The use of team facilitated learning, for this exercise, will help to provide a much richer learning experience along with open conversations around specific topics.
