Dr. Richard Machesky
Dr. Richard Machesky, Superintendent of Schools, is a well-known figure in the Troy School District. Prior to being selected as Superintendent in May 2014, Dr. Machesky served the TSD for more than seven years as Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Instruction.
In 2015, Dr. Machesky earned the Superintendent Communicator of the Year award from the Michigan School Public Relations Association (MSPRA). During his time in Troy, seven schools have been named National Blue-Ribbon Schools, two schools have been designated as National Schools of Character and five more as State Schools of Character. Our high schools have been singled out as top schools in the state and nation and our students have earned numerous national and international awards and recognition.
