  3. OU alum Jacob Corll earns recognition in scientific journal

    Jacob Corll, an Oakland University alum whose research led to the discovery of a master gene that regulates the expression of other genes involved in the development of corn kernels, was recently recognized as the co-first author of a manuscript published in The Plant Cell, a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Society of Plant Biologists.

  7. Walsh Faculty Contribute to 2019 Technology in Industry Report

    TROY, Mich.,  — Walsh IT/Decision Sciences department chair and assistant professor Dave Schippers, Sc.D., CISSP and associate professor Christopher Heiden contributed research to Automation Alley’s 2019 Technology in Industry Report, which was revealed on April 29, 2019 at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Schippers’ research focused on the industrial internet of things (IIoT) and cybersecurity of cyber physical systems on the manufacturing line. Heiden contributed data protection research related to cybersecurity in IIoT.

  10. Walsh Alumnus Wins Elijah Watt Sells Award

    Award Recognizes Outstanding CPA Exam Performance

    TROY, Mich., April 30, 2019 — Walsh alumnus Christopher D’Agostino has been awarded the Elijah Watt Sells Award by the American Institute of CPAs. The award recognizes 2018’s top 110 CPA exam performers out of approximately 86,000 test-takers. D’Agostino is one of only three CPA candidates in Michigan to earn the distinction.
