  3. Oakland University Community Music offering virtual lessons

    For the first time, Oakland University Community Music is offering virtual lessons for all ages in all instruments/voices.

    “As we all adjust to being at home, many of us are missing our musical experiences,” said Katrina Van Maanen, a voice teacher with OU’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance. “While we can’t bring back rehearsals, we can bring music education to you. We’re currently offering virtual lessons in voice, piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, even acting.”

  9. OU professor named Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science

    Michael Sevilla, a distinguished professor of physical chemistry at Oakland University, has been named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The designation recognizes AAAS members for important contributions to STEM disciplines, including research, leadership, teaching and mentoring, fostering collaborations, and advancing public understanding of science.

  10. Walsh hosts virtual doctor of management program information session Jan. 13, 2021

    Troy, Mich.,  – Walsh will host a virtual information session about the Doctor of Management (D.M.) program on January 13, 2021 from 6-7 p.m.

    Jenny Tatsak, Ph.D., professor of communication and chair of Walsh’s business communication, marketing and doctoral programs will lead the session. Topics will include a program overview, career opportunities, financial aid and scholarship information and a Q&A period.
