Volunteers are needed to conduct interviews and view portfolios as part of the Troy School District’s “A.P.T to Succeed” program. A.P.T. to Succeed is a project in which all 8th grade students go through a professional interview by members of the Troy community. Students present portfolios of their accomplishments in middle school and are prepared to answer questions about their future plans, both academically and career-wise. This program depends on volunteer interviewers and we are SO grateful from the support we receive from members of the Troy Chamber of Commerce!

There are several dates and time slots in which you can choose to participate. This year, we are again offering online sign ups, so please click on the link or links that work best for you (feel free to come to more than one school!) If the first link you click on is full, please choose another. If you have middle school age children in the Troy School District, we ask that you volunteer at a different school than your child attends (the interviews are much more realistic when the student does not know the interviewer.) A short orientation is given at the beginning of your time slot, along with sample interview questions and ideas to keep the conversation going.

We appreciate your participation and support.
