I am often asked – what’s new at Troy Chamber? Well, I am excited to say – quite a bit, with much more on the horizon!

As this is our inaugural blog, I am proud to unveil our new logo, a fresh approach to Troy Chamber. Our new logo represents clarity, professionalism and shows our close ties to the city and to our members – the business community. Many thanks to Basso Design Group for sharing our vision and representing it well with this new logo. You might be surprised to find that the process of developing a new logo was an exciting one. I would like to extend a thank you to all of our stakeholders within our community that initially provided us their input in a focus group setting and my staff for their valuable feedback.  It was this combination that led us to our new design. This allowed us to give a clear vision to the Basso Design Group team for developing our new logo.  “…the logo takes on a friendly tone, but doesn’t lose the approachability of the Chamber,” said the Basso team.

Our new logo is only part of the new changes at Troy Chamber; a redesigned website has also been created.  Also designed by Basso, our new website will take on a different feel and ease in order to create a positive experience for our members.  Some of the highlights for our new website include: streamlined navigation that eliminates the users search complexity, a shopping cart system that will allow members to register for multiple events along with purchasing products and join/renew memberships, a blog, and much more.

A special shout out goes to Jessica Hruska, our resident marketing expert who led both the logo and website efforts these past several months.

What’s a new logo and website without a party to celebrate with some of our closest friends? On May 5th from 4-6 pm, we welcome our members to join us for the official unveiling of our logo and website. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this is the same date as Cinco de Mayo – so come and party with us. Beer will be provided by Granite City and food by Mr. Kabob Xpress, Papa Romano’s/Mr. Pita, Papa Vino’s Italian Kitchen, and Piada Italian Street Food.

So much more is new and exciting for Troy Chamber in 2016, including this blog, which is for, and about, our members. In the coming months, we will be inviting bloggers to contribute articles in this section.

Along with the website, we are venturing into the online video world with our latest online series entitled Inside Corporate Troy. When we announced this new project, the outpour of excitement was outstanding.  Thanks to Main Street Bank for their sponsorship, we are already filming episodes to start airing in May. We plan to release one per month and already have enough interest to go a few years!

As always, Troy Chamber exists because of our members. We take great pride in listening to your wants and needs. We are here for your sustainability and growth and your support has shown us we continue to move in the right direction.

May will mark three years since I came to Troy and it seems like yesterday. We have accomplished so much in a short period of time. I want to thank the Board of Directors, our Ambassadors, committees and most of all my staff for sharing a single vision of bringing quality to our members.
