As a member of Dickinson Wright PLLC, Bruce Thelen works with clients throughout the world to help them achieve their international business objectives. His legal work covers a wide range of subjects including customs and international trade, cross border acquisitions and strategic alliances, international distribution and marketing, and export controls and international regulatory compliance.

Although his practice encompasses many industries, Bruce has extensive background in the automotive sector, including representation of global vehicle manufacturers and parts suppliers in manufacturing and distribution in all regions of the world. For two years, while remaining a member of Dickinson Wright, he served as in-house international counsel for Chrysler Corporation.

Among his other professional activities, Bruce was the founder of the German American Chamber of Commerce in Michigan and serves by appointment of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce on the Michigan District Export Council.  He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, as Detroit’s 2017 and 2019 “Lawyer of the Year” for International Trade and Finance Law.
