Spotlight: New to the Board
The Troy Chamber named its 2012 board of directors and officers. Scott Foster, president, Wellco Corporation, has been appointed the Troy Chamber’s 2012 board chairman. Peter Arvant, shareholder, Stark Reagan, PC, and Jordan Kotubey, director of IT, International Academy of Design and Technology were named the 2012 Troy Chamber vice chairman and secretary, respectively. Bob Gigliotti, CPA, principal, Rehmann will serve as the 2012 Treasurer.
Also, the following have been appointed to the Troy Chamber board as directors for three-year terms: Mark Powers, CEO, 118id; Shailesh Doshi, P.E., CEO, Doshi Group Inc.; and Jamie Spriet, vice president business development, Health Alliance Plan.
“We are thrilled to have added new directors with such varied backgrounds and leadership experience,” said Troy Chamber President Michele Hodges. “We know that this group of visionary thinkers will propel the Chamber forward.”
Powers has over 20 years of experience focused on building and delivering high-tech/innovative solutions that deliver measurable and accountable ROIs. He has an active role in 118id business development and strategizing the company’s product offering to the marketplace on a global scale while maintaining local market effectiveness.
In addition, Doshi has 40 years of experience in the architectural engineering industry. He has worked on a variety of projects for government, automotive, education, health care, utilities, commercial, and retail industry sectors. He has earned numerous awards for the value engineering he has brought to his clients, including leading the first minority firm to receive Ford’s Q1 Award.
Finally, Spriet is responsible for business growth and community relationships for Health Alliance Plan (HAP). HAP is a $1.7B company in revenue with over 500,000 members in multiple product lines. She has over 25 years of senior leadership experience in diverse areas of health care making the transition from clinical to senior business executive.
